How Ireland Plans to Save Water Using Two Buttons

Ireland just signed a new law that will save potentially millions of gallons of water each year.

How?

They are abolishing the old fashion one flush toilet. It is true. All toilets fitted into homes will be required to be dual flush (aka two buttons for two different discharges). In fact, dual flush toilets will be the only models available in Ireland.

The Government says that the move will lead to hundreds of millions of gallons drinking water being saved each year. According to Ireland, as much of a third of the country's drinking water is used to flush toilets.
